Font sizes loading into Fritzing schematic incorrectly from an inkspace svg

In 0.93 I am finding a strange phenomena on the font sizes loading into Fritzing schematic incorrectly from an inkspace svg that I have saved. They come out as huge size in Fritzing’s schematic view, I deleted the original ones and even my newly created fonts were huge.
Seems opposite to Fritzing setting a size to zero as described in another post here. I will try removing px from all the font sizes to see if that helps. I guess this version has been around since 2016 … Testing being done found font size of 166.9923489234px , ugh … replaced with just 166 and the fonts are now back to normal.
ps … I find ATOM with a few nice addons makes a great editor for this kind of stuff

License question

@hardmod wrote:

Hi everybody,
I’ve got a very specific question.

I’ve got a blog running with a CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 license (“if not statet otherwise”).
I want to publish circuits and in the FAQ I learned “First of all, you can do whatever you want with them.”

But as the exported images are watermarked (and of course the watermark will stay), I guess I have to name another license for them.

Am I right here? And which license and owner do I have to mention?

Thanks!

Today I successful installed the latest Fritzing Version file, fritzing-0.9.3b.linux.AMD64, onto a Rapsbian Raspberry pi 3 B+ computer which I bought in this month, Jan/2019, by " sudo apt-get install fritzing ". But the fritzing did not start and stopped if I tried again.

I can see the following message after entering “fritzing ,return”,

“pi@raspberrypi:~ $ fritzing
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate qt5ct: using qt5ct plugin inotify_add_watch(”/home/pi/.config/qt5ct") failed: “No such file or directory”
Segmentation fault".

Can someone please let me know how to start the program correctly ?

While using Schematic. I realized i need more space for routing.
So i wanted to move lines drawn before…
But there was no way to move multiple bandpoints.
I found way* to move each line but there’s too many lines.
Can i have suggestions about this problem?

  • Press Alt and move lines -> doesn’t snaps on grid.

Steps I took that resulted in the problem:

Drag Arduino Mega 2560(Rev3) to the schematic view.
the digital Pin 2,3 is swapped.

What I expected should have happened instead:

re align digital ports.

My version of Fritzing and my operating system:

Well… there’s noting to update. i don’t know how to check version but it looks lastest version.
Windows 10

Please also attach any files that help explaining this problem

Obsolete part error with new part I created

Well I get an obsolete part error with new part I created. I want to change that status somewhere in the XML I imagine. I guess I started with an obsolete part perhaps and still got it after I created a new part. It’s a simple part and shouldn’t be too much to fix when I find out why this is going on.

I’m having a hard time create a custom PCB layout using Inkscape.
When i am opening the .svg it in Fritzing it tells me that there’s no outline which i can confirm when checking the gerber file.

I’ve attached the layout with dimensions. Can anyone help me, design it?

Working with Mouser

Mouser has a program that converts its products into library files for different PCB CAD programs (Eagle is supported, for instance). I asked if they would support Fritzing. They said “yes”, but it would helpful if someone from Fritzing would work with them to set it up. Does anyone know if that person exists, and how I can find them.

Power connections on a PCB

@wilckaudio wrote:

Hi,

I´am new to Fritzing and have some questions.

I would like to do a PCB for a synth module.

How can I get the power connections (+12V, -12V and Ground) in the schematic and on the pcb, so that they get connected on the pcb automatically?

I also have a problem with connections for cables going to the plate of the synth module.
How do I get single “connection”-spots into the schematic and the PCB?

Thanks for helping!

Update of the STM32F103C8T6 in core parts

@vanepp wrote:

Below is an improvement of the current STM32F103C8T6 blue pill part in core. The present part lacks pcb (and in fact is an SMD part at present) and the pin numbering was out of order. It lacked a description, and had various other problems such as non standard colors and stroke widths. I changed the labels in breadboard to match one of the generic blue pill boards from Ebay and changed the name on the pins to match the board and the description to be the full list of possible pin parameters from the pinout diagram at the blue pill site. PCB now has the 40 I/O connectors suitable for .1 headers (it used to be the SMD CPU chip which isn’t useful in this case). The reason for this post is to give folks that are using the part a chance to object to me asking for it to be changed in core as this part will likely require rerunning the traces in schematic because it has changed (I think for the better, but you may disagree). This is set as a new part so you can load it beside the one currently in core (which can be found by searching for “STM32F103C8T6” in parts search, I added blue pill as a tag so that should find it in future too). Please have a look and comment here if you wish.

When I close that wimdow Fritzing load’s up but there are no parts only perfboard

1.44in SPI TFT Color DIsplay 128x128 created

This is my first part and post. I created it because I could not find one when I searched for it.

1.44-SPI-TFT-Graphics-Display-128x128.fzpz (6.0 KB)
TFT-Color-Graphic-LCD-144-128x128_SPI-01

It includes a link to the sellers page on amazon.

These are nice displays but slow with graphics on an UNO, they recommend only text with the UNO boards due to memory. I tested the graphics on the UNO (Official) and the Elegoo variant UNO boards, both function the same.

Enjoy,
Jorge
