Good afternoon. I am new to Fritzing but have been using TinyCAD for some time now. I am interested in importing, converting and saving my current TinyCAD sketches (.dsn files). Is this possible?
Thank you.

Hello,
I have an RC522 and I found an appropriate part on the internet. It turned out, that the pins are a little bit different. So I extracted the schematic SVG and changed the pin-names in the schematic (either using a text editor or incscape - it doesn’t matter). If I now load the new svg for the schematic in the parts editor, all pin labels are now rendered very small compared to before. If I open the SVG in incscape, it looks normal. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

Tobias

Good morning. I am trying to create a PCB fuse holder but the new part editor does not appear (to me) to be very user friendly. I do not have Inkscape but have created a 3D model in SolidWorks. Any suggestions or guidance on how to create a part for this: https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/215/3557-2-744839.pdf
Thank you.

Hi,
I created several parts and now I need to finalize the connector holes. The part maker gives the End Hole Diameter, then I need to calculate the drill hole diameter, annular ring, copper in the hole, and maybe an extra space between copper and pin in the hole.
Are there any math formulas to compute these dimension or any table with common connector holes ?
Thanks,
stephane

Hello guys,
perhaps I have overseen a part but I assume there is no Header 4 with 2.54mm format available.
I need only 4 pins in a row which I can add to my project.
Adding 2 * Header 2 is not an option because I irritate myself when I rotate or move such header.
have fun!

Hi,
I made these parts for camdenboss cnmb6 and started for the cnmb9 boxes. I haven’t produced PCB to confirm there are no bugs.
This should help to use these boxes and have connectors aligned with holes in the box body.
There are 2 packages (one for CNMB6 and one for CNMB9) and 5 variants for the board options.
I need here to finalize connectors dimensions, help or advices to put the right dimensions to copper elements (holes, pad, …) are very well appreciated. Other advices comments … are also welcome.

Hey
I’m a newbie to electronics and Fritzing, but I don’t understand what’s happening here. Fritzing insists that I should bridge the resistors on my PCB, which doesn’t make any sense.
This is the breadboard-view, which is exactly what I have running in hardware here (image will follow in reply)
Even here, it says that I should bridge the switches…
What’s going on? What am I doing wrong?
When I use smaller 6mm switches that fit on one side of the breadboard, all is fine, but I need the bigger ones for my PCB.
Thanks for any help!

In breadboard view, you can use the negative rail to connect multiple wires to ground.
In PCB view, it routes them in a way, which works in practice, but becomes very confusing (at least for me) as the circuit grows in complexity.
Is it possible to create some type of common ground terminal in the interest of clarity?
The same applies to positive terminals.
In other words, is it possible to add some type of terminal component that allows multiple wires to connect to the same point?
I am new to electronics and this issue has really stopped me in my tracks. Any help would be massively appreciated.

Hi Everyone,
New here and new to fritzing (why I am in the beginners section :)).
I have done a breadboard design (I have actually soldered this onto a blank PCB and built the software already so I know it works) but I am looking to get a ‘real’ PCB done (outsourced) so looking to sort out the schematic and PCB.
After I built my breadboard I went into schematic and it is truely a rats nest and I can’t figure out how to lay it out nicely LOL. The same for PCB :(.
Any help, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hallo,

I was translating a schematic I saw for a power supply for synth modules to a stripboard and I’ve come across some questions to optimize the space such like: Does the order in wich I ground things matter at all? I tried to replicate what I’ve seen and it fits but if I can save some space I’ll have enough stripboard left for other projects hehe.
This is what I’m trying (the video is veary detailed, therefore I guess my question is quite basic): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQKN30Mzi2g
Thanks and have a nice day!
